Icon Imagine Luxury Photography and Event Planning was birthed out of Joani's passion for visual arts and her 25 years as the founder and director of a performing arts school.
Joani’s experience creating and producing shows stateside and internationally, combined with her love for photography creates the perfect combination for Icon Imagine. I would be honored to play a part in your wedding or event. Get to know me better below.

What makes me tick is my love for people, my passion for creative and visual arts, my commitment to excellence, and my insatiable appetite for telling stories.
As a journalistic photographer and luxury event designer, I have always loved creating spaces and places for the extraordinary to happen and then documenting every magical moment as it unfolded. I guess you might say I’m a romantic…and a storyteller!
Founding and running a performing arts school for 25+ years and creating unique and magical experiences for 5 to 5000, I'm now here to help you imagine your big day, assist you in making it happen, and then document every moment so you can relive it over and over again in the years to come.
Every little intimate look...every smile and burst of laughter...every nod, wink, and tear... Each and every one of these moments makes your day uniquely yours and that's the story I want to tell!

These images don’t always have to be beautiful. They can be an impressionistic glance at an emotional, ironic or even a comical moment. Nor must it be technically perfect.
In fact, I’ve said many times over the years that the technically perfect photograph is often the enemy of the magical.
Yet at the same time there is a place and time for the highly contrived, composed composition that goes well beyond just photography.
I have been photographing professionally since 1995 working in Los Angeles with an emphasis on fashion and people - having been published in magazines and publications worldwide.
Many of those people have gotten married and I’ve photographed a few hundred of them. Each with their own visually unique story to be witnessed… no two have been alike.
